ABDULLAH

youngest son of Abdul Muttalib, husband of Aminah and father of Muhammad, whose name means Abd (slave or servant) of Allah (God). His name also showed that the name Allah was well-known among the Arabs before the time of Muhammad. In fact, Muhammad's great grandfather was custodian of the Ka'aba. During Aminah's pregnancy, he went on a merchant trip to Gaza, Palestine and on his return, became ill and died at al-Madinah.
