Answering Islam - A Christian-Muslim dialog

  • Persian Protests, Prophecy and Proverbs

The brutal killing of Mahsa Amini by the Iranian regime has triggered huge demonstrations and widespread outrage. Yet this is only the tip of the iceberg. The last few decades have seen the ruthless persecution and even the martyrdom of many Christians in Iran. Such intimidation, however, hasn't suppressed the church. In fact, through God's mysterious working, the gospel has spread all the more. One explanation for this miracle is found in Bible prophecy (Jeremiah 49:34-39) and also referenced in a Persian proverb that resembles a paradoxical saying of Jesus.
  • Was Jesus Crucified?

This is a question Christians and Muslims often discuss. What is not often discussed is the variety of explanations that Muslim scholars give as to what the verses in the Qur’an mean and what exactly happened to Jesus. Most Christians have no idea that there are so many different explanations, some of which say that Jesus was crucified. Likewise, most Muslims are unaware of these different explanations and have not weighed up personally which one is best. In this article we will survey these explanations and consider what the Qur’an, the Bible, and History actually say.
